Avery is originally from Los Angeles And Got A BFA In printmaking from Washington University in St. Louis. She currently resides in Chicago and is the co-founder of  art collective The Punish Babies. She works primarily with printmaking and moving-image, utilizing Self-portraiture and exploring the meaning of viewership.
